Wool Power — HERE Magazine

We’re thrilled to be featured in the November 2024 issue of HERE , one of New Zealand’s leading design publications! As long-time readers, it’s a real privilege to see Lof highlighted alongside some of the most inspiring design and architecture projects in Aotearoa. Receiving our subscription delivery at the Waiheke studio is always a joy, but being part of Issue No. 27 makes it even more special.

This issue is particularly woolly, with other New Zealand wool champions like Bremworth and Citta Design also showcasing their amazing wool projects. A huge thank you to the HERE team for championing design excellence, sustainability, and wool for interiors. And a special shoutout to editor Simon Farrel-Green, a word-magician who truly understands why wool and interiors make perfect sense!

In the article, I share how the pandemic gave me the chance to rethink our use of New Zealand wool and its untapped potential in interiors. As an abundant local resource, it’s surprising that we’re not using more of it in design. Lof was born from this passion to bring wool into the spotlight, starting with our Hoop pendant lights made from sustainably sourced coarse wool. These lights not only emit a beautiful, soft glow but also offer air-purifying, anti-microbial, and acoustic benefits.
